New diabetes strategy for Leeds

“Working together to deliver the best outcomes for people at risk of or living with diabetes”

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to our first diabetes strategy for Leeds, including people living with diabetes and their carers, our partners in public health at Leeds City Council, voluntary sector organisations supporting people at risk of developing or living with diabetes, commissioners, and the many dedicated staff who work across our diabetes service in Leeds.

Our strategy aims to describe our response to people of all ages – regardless of background and circumstances whether they are at risk of or living with diabetes, or caring for someone with diabetes – and describes our intentions over the next five years to improve outcomes. We have produced a summary of the strategy which we will review every year. The full version of the diabetes strategy will be available in May.

We ask that you support this strategy, share the summary and continue to work together in making every effort to deliver exceptional care for people affected by diabetes.
