NHS Leeds Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) communications team picks up two awards at this year’s prestigious CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards. The team has won awards for Best Internal Communications and Best Public Sector Campaign for MindMate.
Sue Robins, Director of Acute and Specialist Commissioning at NHS Leeds CCG, said: “This is fantastic news for the team and everyone who supported them. This reflects the excellent work happening across the organisation, which I’m really proud to be part of.
“We know how important internal communications is as it plays a vital role in every organisation, and for us to get this right is essential as our staff are key to the success of this organisation. We’re always looking at ways on how we can communicate and engage differently with our staff and being innovative in what we do. By launching Workplace by Facebook – the first public sector organisation to do this – and introducing a welcome card for new staff shows how we’re doing things differently at the CCG.
“This year MindMate celebrated its fifth birthday, a website (www.mindmate.org.uk) that provides mental health and emotional wellbeing advice and information for children and young people across Leeds. The MindMate team has achieved so much over the past five years; this includes dedicated young people ambassadors and the establishment of a MindMate school support and training programme. Winning the award for the Best Public Sector Campaign shows our commitment to making sure children and young people in Leeds are aware of the support services availble to them.”
The CIPR PRide Awards are among the most prestigious awards in the communications industry. They recognise and celebrate the outstanding work communications professionals and teams have been delivering for clients and employers.
