Leeds residents aged 18 or over are being urged to have their vaccine at the Bilal Centre in Harehills

People aged 18 or over who have not had their COVID-19 vaccine are being encouraged to go to the Bilal Centre, Conway Road, Leeds, LS8 3RD from 10am to 5pm this week to have their vaccine, no appointment needed.

Dr Jason Broch, a GP in Leeds and Chair of NHS Leeds Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “This week, the Bilal Centre is offering Pfizer and Oxford Astra-Zeneca vaccines to anyone who is eligible.

“So, if you’re 18 and over and haven’t yet had yours, now’s the time.  You don’t need an appointment, so if you haven’t been vaccinated yet, please pop in between 10am and 5pm.

“Having the vaccine is the best way to protect yourself, keep friends and family safe. Please encourage your friends and loved ones to do the same, as the more of us who are vaccinated, the safer we all are, and the sooner life can return to normal.”

People can also get vaccinated at the vaccination minibus this week which is at the BAME Health & Wellbeing Hub (formerly known as the Fredrick Hurdle Centre), Reginald Terrace, Leeds, LS7 3EZ from 10am to 3pm, no appointment needed.
