NHS in Leeds says plan ahead to stay well for the bank holidays

With the May day bank holiday fast approaching, the NHS in Leeds is encouraging people to plan ahead to stay well. Anyone who takes regular medication and needs a repeat prescription should order it in advance to make sure they have enough medication to last over the bank holiday.

NHS COVID-19 vaccinations available now in Leeds for all 5 -11 year olds

The NHS in Leeds has begun offering COVID-19 vaccinations to 5 – 11 year-olds. This follows the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation’s (JCVI) recommendation that all 5-11 year-olds be offered the covid vaccination to boost immunity and increase their protection against any future waves of Covid.

Health advice for people observing Ramadan

As Muslims begin the holy month of Ramadan, the NHS in Leeds is supporting all those observing this time of refection and prayer, especially those with any health conditions such as diabetes.

Don’t ‘leave a gap’ in our workforce, Partnership urges

During the pandemic, reports of abuse directed at doctors’ surgery staff and community pharmacy teams across West Yorkshire have increased. In response the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, which includes NHS Leeds CCG, has launched a new insight driven campaign called ‘leaving a gap’ to make people think about the consequences of abusive behaviour. Co-produced with staff and patients, the campaign recognises that services are extremely busy, and it can be frustrating for people accessing care.
