Stay safe and well in the heatwave

With hot weather and tropical conditions due to hit Leeds this week, the local NHS is reminding people how to stay safe and well while reducing potential pressure on the health system.

Patients across Leeds benefit from excellent care from their GP practice

Results from the latest national GP Patient Survey were published by NHS England last week; these show that patients in Leeds are positive about the care they receive from their local GP practice. To add to this positive news, for the first time 100% of GP practices in Leeds are currently rated as ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Remember your inhaler this summer

As the weather warms up and we spend more time outdoors, the NHS in Leeds is advising people with asthma – especially children –  on how to manage their health this summer to avoid the ‘September spike’ in emergency asthma admissions.
