Call the Leeds City Council helpline on 0113 378 1877 if you’re self-isolating and don’t have friends or family nearby who can help. Our volunteers can help you with shopping, transport to medical appointments, or a call to check how you are.
Experiencing grief and loss?
The West Yorkshire and Harrogate grief and loss support line can be contacted on 0808 196 3833 (available 8am-8pm, seven days a week) or you can use the online chat if you don’t want to speak to someone over the phone. The service can help if you have lost a loved one, family member or friend. It can also help if you are feeling sad about someone you didn’t know who has died.
Leeds Domestic Violence Service
Leeds Domestic Violence Service helpline on 0113 246 0401. If calling is unsafe, a web-chat service is available from Monday-Friday between 1pm-3pm.
If you’re in immediate danger, call 999 (press 55 after the emergency number if you’re in danger and unable to speak).
Emergency SMS service
If you are deaf or can’t verbally communicate you can register with the emergency SMS service. Text REGISTER to 999. You will get a text which tells you what to do next.

Forward Leeds is the alcohol and drug service in Leeds for adults, young people and families. You can call for support today on 0113 887 2477, open 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday. Late appointments are available.
