Who do I need to contact for my vaccine when invited?

Please see the below table which shows who people need to contact when invited for their vaccine and which age groups we’re asking to proactively book their COVID-19 vaccine appointment.

  • The national booking service is also sending invitations and reminders to some people by text. These will be sent using the Government’s secure Notify service and will show as being sent from ‘NHSvaccine’ with a link to the NHS.uk website.
If a suitable and convenient slot is not available when booking through the national booking service, people can also call their GP practice
60 and over (if you haven’t had the vaccine, please respond to your invite)

45 and over

This depends on if your local GP vaccination service is continuing to vaccinate people in phase two of the vaccination programme (please check your practices website). If they are, they will contact you but if they are not, you will need to book your appointment through the national booking service or, by calling 119.

Clinically vulnerable (people with underlying health conditions)
  • You will be contacted by your GP surgery. GPs are working through their lists as quick as they can, please be patient and we can assure you that no one will be forgotten.
