Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Coronavirus (Covid-19) is a potentially serious illness that mostly affects people’s lungs and airways. Anyone can catch it; anyone can spread it.

Coronavirus infection usually occurs through close contact with a person who has it, through coughs and sneezes or hand contact. A person can also be infected by touching contaminated surfaces if they do not wash their hands.

Although restrictions have lifted, we still need to do what we can to help stop the virus from spreading:

  • Get up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations, to protect yourself and others from infection and serious illness
  • If you feel unwell try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people
  • Wear a face covering in enclosed crowded spaces
  • Let in fresh air when indoors with other people
  • Wash your hands regularly
