Community Bed Service Review

Lead: Leeds West

Area: Leeds North, Leeds South & East, Leeds West

Period: 13th Oct 2014 - 27th Oct 2014

There are currently 173 Community Intermediate Care (CIC) bed spaces in Leeds spread across the city. The community bed service provides a short-term rehabilitation service in a homely environment for people who cannot be supported safely in their own home. It is used for people who are too poorly to stay at home or for people or who are being discharged from hospital but are still not well enough to go home.

What are we planning to do?

A new strategy for Leeds community bed service has identified a number of ways that the service could be improved.  The proposed changes would see a more simple model of care that would adapt to meet patient’s personal needs and provide a better patient experience.

Why we need your views?

We want to know what you think about our plans for the Leeds community bed service. This will help us develop a service that meets the needs of local people.
