Occasionally we ask for feedback on proposed documentation from our patients and the public. We want to make sure that the information we are sending out is easy to understand, sends out all the right messages and is suitable for everyone it might affect. Feedback provided from patients and the public is compiled into a report with recommendations for how the document could be improved.
Below you will find two documents that will be used to inform patients about clostridium difficile (C.diff). One document is a comprehensive information leaflet, designed to inform patients about C.diff; where it comes from and how to look after yourself or your family should it be contracted. The second document is designed to be made available for patients to carry with them on their person, it will be produced in a “credit card” sized design so patients have ready access to the information, should it be needed.
We are looking for any feedback on the documents that will help it to be as clear and as easy to understand as possible for patients who might receive it. Reader group members consider the following:
- The language used (is it easy to understand?)
- If there is any information missing?
- Is it suitable for other people in our community?
