Childhood Asthma

Lead: Leeds West

Area: Leeds West

Period: 3rd Nov 2014 - 24th Mar 2015

Asthma is really common (this means lots of people have it). Asthma sometimes makes it difficult to get air into your lungs and you can have difficulty breathing. Asthma can be caused by different things like dust, pets and exercise.

What do we want to do?

We want you to find out how we can help children with asthma to look after their condition. We are looking for the views of children, friends of children and parents and teachers of children with asthma.

What does it feel like having asthma?

We want to know a bit more about how children care for their asthma so that we can look at ways of helping children look after the condition.

Who can take part in the survey?

  • Children in primary school who have asthma
  • Children in high (secondary) school who have asthma
  • Any children with friends who have asthma
  • Parents and carers of children with asthma – this includes anyone responsible for looking after children as part of their work such as teachers, youth workers, etc.
