We want to deliver the best cancer outcomes for Leeds patients. We will achieve this by working together across the range of health and social care organisations to ensure we provide quality care to the people of Leeds. We want to involve local people as we continue to develop the Leeds Cancer Strategy.
Citizens of Leeds were invited to an open event at Leeds City Museum on 13th July 2017.
This event aimed to:
“Raise awareness of the Leeds Cancer Strategy and explore opportunities to involve patients, carers, and the public in its development and delivery.”
Following the event, the Leeds Cancer Strategy project team used the feedback and discussions collected at the event to develop the strategy for Leeds.
Following on from this, a Cancer Strategy Patient Assurance Group Workshop was held on 24th January 2018.
Both events were well attended and have helped develop our strategy. The work is ongoing and there will be more opportunities to get involved in the Leeds Cancer Strategy in the future.
