We have worked with our patients and commissioners to develop a free training package to help you get involved.
The aim of the training is to give patients, members of the public and staff the skills and knowledge to feel more confident to get involved. The training is also open to members of staff in health and social care organisations. The sessions are designed to bring staff and patients together to learn from one another as well as providing opportunities to network, share learning and experiences.
UPDATE, 01.12.2020:
We are looking at different ways we can deliver our training packages, including an online training option. We will continue to update this page when available.
History of Training and the Engagement Hub
Over the last four years, we have developed and delivered 81 sessions of 15 different training seminars. 494 people have attended our training sessions over the last four years with 100% of attendees evaluated recommending our training sessions. You can see slides from our previous sessions in the ‘downloads’ section below.
All of our training has been delivered as part of an ‘Engagement Hub’, a collaboration between partner NHS organisations to support one another with engagement work. Some of the training sessions delivered previously have been done so by Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust (LTHT) and Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust (LYPFT).
During the beginning of 2019, we put all our training and peer support on hold while we reviewed the Engagement Hub and spoke with our partners about the future of the programme. You can view the evaluation report and the PVG presentation slides below, as well as previous training calendars and training slides.
